MEET THE COUNCIL

Nolan Schmeeckle

President

• Oversees the members of the Council and Executive
• Acts as the primary spokesperson for the Engineering Society
• Ensures planning of the strategic direction and development
  of the Society
• Maintains and is familiar with the Governing Documents of
  the Society

Krishansh Dhawan

Vice President Communications

• Actively maintains the Society’s website and social media
  accounts
• Distributes information to the membership
• Coordinates internal publicity to ensure adequate awareness
  of the Society at the University
• Distributes press releases at the request of the Council
• Responsible for the public relations of the Society

Coby Jagt

Vice President Corporate Relations

• Liaises with professional organizations and industry outside of
  the University
• Generate awareness of the Society within local communities
• Compile and distribute a sponsorship package on behalf of
  the Society and its events to increase awareness and industry
  involvement
• Responsible for the public relations of the Society

Gurnoor Chawla

Vice President External

• Liaises with student assemblies, bodies, and organizations
  external to the University
• Seeks out information on conferences and competitions, and
  distributes relevant information
• Selects delegates in coordination with the President to
  represent the Society at conferences and competitions
• Acts as Head Delegate, or delegates the role of Head Delegate,
  at conferences and/or competitions

Erik Wiebe

Vice President Finance

• Oversees and coordinates the finances of the Society,
  ensuring long term financial stability
• Develop the annual budget of the Society
• Ensures the proper preparation and maintenance of all
  financial records and prepares the financial statements and
  reports to be presented regularly

Likhitha Doddi

Vice President Internal

• Maintains relationships with the UBCSUO, Course Unions, and
  other relevant organizations at the University
• Serve as an advocate to the School on behalf of Active
  Members in matters of academic concern
• Organize academic events and services for the Society

Keira Mccoy

Vice President Student Life

• Organizes a variety of social events for the Society, to promote
  student involvement within the engineering community of
  the University
• Liaise with the UBCSUO, Course Unions, and other relevant
  organizations at the University to promote and collaborate
  regarding upcoming events of interest
